This is a non-sanctioned Strong(wo)man competition in honor of  at-risk-youth. Trophies and awards will be given out, and $250 cash prize for first place winner in open weight class with 3 or more competitors. 


General Rules

  • Must be 21 to compete. 
  • Athletes must complete weigh-ins on June 26th 9a.m.-8 p.m. @ Strong Evolution Gym. NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Competitors must attend the rules meeting before the competition begins June 27th @ 9:00 a.m.
  • Heights/starting: heights taken at the beginning of the competition (athlete check-in).
  • Time limit for each event will be 60 seconds.
  • Judge’s decision is final.
  • Ties will be broken by special event chosen by promoter.
  • Equipment allowed: Belts, sleeves, wraps, chalk, and grip shirts.
  • Equipment not allowed: Tacky of any kind, hook straps


Events

Event 1: Max Log Clean & Press (1 Rep Max) 60 Seconds

Setu : Standard log implement.

Rules

  • Athletes have 3 attempts to establish a 1-rep max
  • Athletes must have both feet together, arms, hips, and knees extended with the weight for a successful lift. 
  • Athletes must wait for the judges down command
  • Equipment: Rouge Metal Log
  • Belts, wrist wraps, chalk, elbow sleeves. Grips shirts allowed
  • Absolutely no elbow wraps, towel belts, tacky, or sticky substances allowed

Scoring: Heaviest successful lift wins


Event 2: Deadlift Medley (3 Implements) 60 Seconds

Setup: Three implements with standard plates, ascending weight format. Jumps will go in increments of 40lbs. 


Rules

  • Men will start at 315lbs.Women at 185lbs. (Depending on Weight Class)
  • Athletes have 3 attempts for their best lift
  • Athlete will have 3 attempts to achieve their best deadlift.
  • Athletes will have 60 seconds with complete a 3-deadlift medley.
  • Athletes will start behind the line- on the go command athlete will begin the medley. 
  • There will be 3 different bars. Knees, hips and chest must be extended, and athletes must wait on the judges "down" command for a successful reps. Max reps are to be performed on the last implement

Equipment: Standard bar, Large Trap bar, Axel Bar

  • Belts, wrist wraps, chalk, allowed
  • Absolutely no hook straps, tacky, or sticky substances are allowed.

Scoring: Most reps completed on all 3 implements wins.


Event 3: Yoke Run + Sandbag Steeple Chase - 60 Seconds

Setup: 50 ft total course.

Rules

  • Time starts when yoke is lifted.
  • Yoke carry/run into immediate sandbag steeple chase.
  • At least one implement must cross one way to count toward total distance if course is not complete.

Equipment: Rouge Yoke and Sandbag

Scoring: Fastest time to complete full course.


Event 4: Farmer ISO Hold (Max Time) - 60 Seconds

Rules

  • Time will start when knees and hips and chest are fully extended
  • Athletes will pick the farmers on the GO command

Equipment: Farmer Handles 

Scoring: Max time wins


Event 5: Sandbag to Shoulder (Max-reps 60 Seconds)

Rules

  • Time starts when sandbag is lifted from ground
  • Athlete will have 60 seconds to get as many successful reps with the sandbag.
  • Arm must be fully away from the bag while demonstrating complete control of the bag for the down command.
  • Absolutely no tacky, sticky substances, or towel lifted belts.

Equipment: Rouge Sandbag

Scoring: Max reps wins
